Business Travel Direct goes Elite with SAP Concur
Business Travel Direct has been selected as one of only three companies headquartered outside of the US to become an SAP Concur TMC Elite partner.
Expense, travel and invoice solutions provider SAP Concur has revamped its TMC partner programme into a multi-levelled system, with partners now classified as either Partner, Select or Elite.
Business Travel Direct has worked exceptionally closely with SAP Concur for years, having previously held TMC Certified and Preferred Partner status and supported clients through global rollouts in both direct and indirect implementations. In the last 12 months alone, the Business Travel Direct team has delivered 50 SAP Concur focused implementations, including five global clients.
“We’re very proud to have achieved the accolade of TMC Elite Partner” states Julie Oliver, Managing Director of Business Travel Direct “As a business focussed on innovation, our investment in technology and, specifically, our partnership and unparalleled knowledge of the SAP Concur ecosystem underpins our proposition. We work incredibly closely with SAP Concur to ensure we remain at the very forefront of the technology for the benefit of our clients. It’s a truly two-way, mutually beneficial relationship. Becoming one of only three Elite partners headquartered outside of the US demonstrates this commitment and highlights how closely we work together to continuously improve the client experience and unlock the SAP Concur ecosystem. It was great to celebrate this accolade with our partners at SAP Concur’s launch event in Nashville in November”
Business Travel Direct has often been first to market with key SAP Concur initiatives, from recently being the first TMC globally to offer BA NDC fares to their clients, to being the first European TMC to offer TripLink back in 2016. This forward-thinking approach means Business Travel Direct often provide valuable insights and feedback to SAP Concur. Business Travel Direct was acquired by Reed & Mackay in July 2019.
The restructuring of SAP Concur’s previous Preferred Partner programme is set to provide better transparency for businesses looking for the right organisation to work with. SAP Concur TMC Elite is the highest level of partnership available and has been defined as the following:
“Partners in this top level have embraced the full suite of SAP Concur travel solutions (including TripLink) and are using Concur Expense in their own business. This provides customers a seamless integration with the entire ecosystem of SAP Concur travel solutions, plus hands-on knowledge. TMC Elite-level partners are uniquely capable of capturing spend and supporting travelers - no matter how or where those trips were booked. As a result, they can deliver increased visibility and control of all T&E spend, compliance across all reservations, and, most importantly, improved traveler safety and an enhanced travel experience.” [1]
