LONDON, May 1, 2024: CIBT Global, Inc., a leading provider of global mobility services, today launched CIBT Assure, a new platform that enables organisations to comply fully with European social insurance obligations. The platform is designed exclusively for travel and relocation managers who have employees travelling and working internationally within Europe.
The A1 form is an instrument used across the EU, EEA, Switzerland, and the UK. It proves that an employee remains covered under their home country's social security system while temporarily working in another one or more of these countries. Under various EU regulations and bilateral agreements, employers are obligated to complete an A1 form for their employees before sending them abroad for work, ensuring compliance with the respective legislation.
Commenting on the launch, Samantha McKnight, Vice President, Enterprise Sales at CIBT said: 'Awareness of A1 form obligations is low amongst European employees, which can leave employers exposed to penalties and other risks. Furthermore, up to 34 percent of A1 applications submitted not using CIBT Assure get rejected. With this new product, we aim to grow awareness in this important area, while making it easy for organisations and their people to be fully A1 compliant'.
CIBT Assure uses proprietary database intelligence and proven methods to automate A1 form submissions for employers across 29 countries—with full coverage expected soon for all 32 countries. The service mitigates the significant risks and penalties associated with inaccurate entries and reduces exposure to inspections.
