CTM’s proprietary online booking tool Lightning has won the ‘achievement in sustainability – corporate booking platform’ category at this year’s Business Travel Sustainability Awards for a second consecutive year.
Corporate Travel Management (CTM)’s proprietary online booking tool Lightning has won the ‘achievement in sustainability – corporate booking platform’ category at this year’s Business Travel Sustainability Awards for a second consecutive year.
The awards took place yesterday at Convene in London in front of an audience of over 100 European travel managers, suppliers and service providers. They followed the Business Travel Sustainability Summit where CTM’s Head of Sustainability Lauren Hook delivered an eye-opening talk on how to improve sustainability reporting for business travel.
On presenting the award to Shelley Mathews, CTM’s EVP Sales EMEA, BTN Group’s Jen Bankard said, “The winner of this category has an impressive customer case study supported by some clearly documented results; they’ve created a bespoke sustainability functionality that is driving meaningful change within this particular travel programme and provides robust data that’s needed for reporting and really helps that travel programme meet their stated goals.”
CTM’s Lightning is an award-winning online booking tool packed with market-leading functionality designed to make life easier for travellers and managers, particularly regarding sustainability.
Lightning functionality designed to help corporates achieve their sustainability goals includes the ability to budget, monitor, transfer and offset carbon emissions, make buying decisions based on granular emissions data, switch from plane to train with 1-click, view airline SAF scoring, filter car hire searches for EV/hybrid options and find hotels with charging points, and much more.
“We are delighted to win this award for the second consecutive year,” said Debbie Carling “Sustainability is at the very top of the agenda for travellers and travel managers all over the world and they need a simple, data-rich online booking tool to help them achieve this. This is why we have frequently led the market with our sustainability innovations in Lightning and continue to update and improve its functionality to make it even easier for users to make more sustainable travelling decisions. We have even more new features coming this year – so watch this space.”
