Reed & Mackay acquires Italy-based Regent International S.R.L

LONDON, 06 June 2024 — Global travel and event management company, Reed & Mackay, today announced that it has acquired Italian corporate travel and events business Regent International S.R.L, expanding its wholly-owned footprint to now include the top five European markets for business travel spend.
This follows strong organic growth for Reed & Mackay in Germany and France, as well as the rebrand to Reed & Mackay of its businesses in Spain and Sweden over the last 12 months. Year-over-year, Reed & Mackay grew by 28% in mainland Europe.
This latest acquisition underpins Reed & Mackay’s commitment to Europe with a local-first strategy, exceptional service across the globe and a consumer-grade technology offering. “Italy is an important market for Reed & Mackay’s clients. Not only does Regent International bring deep-rooted knowledge of the Italian corporate travel and events market, its values also closely align with Reed & Mackay’s uncompromising focus on high-touch service. The seventh-largest business travel market globally and fourth-largest in Europe, Italy has an annual business travel spend of $34B, according to GBTA’s Business Travel Index Outlook 2023. Regent International provides personalised corporate travel and events services to over 200 clients across core sectors for Reed & Mackay including professional services, premium brands, healthcare, technology and media.
Founded 50 years ago as a family business, Regent International is recognised as a leading player in Italy, with offices in Rome and Milan.

This marks the sixth acquisition in three years as the Navan Group continues its strategic investments across Europe, with clients of Reed & Mackay and its parent company, Navan, gaining enhanced expertise and content for Italy as a result of this latest purchase. The Navan Group was ranked the fourth-largest TMC in Europe by BTN Europe in 2023.
