Bala Chandran is equal parts aviation geek and data nerd. Prior to Lumo, Bala worked in
operations consulting across various industries spanning airline operations, call center
management, and supply chain optimization. Bala holds a PhD from UC Berkeley,
where he worked on (among other things) algorithms to optimize airspace traffic flows,
and has authored several academic papers on the subject.
